“Hi there sweetheart,” you say taking her hand in yours as you walk side by side down the hallway,. “I’ve got something great to show you.”
“Oh what is it James?” Sarah asks with that wonderful smile
“You’ll see soon enough,” you reply as you open the door to the empty sports hall, inviting Sarah to walk in first. Sarah looks at you slightly confused but walks in all the same.
“Come on James the suspense is killing me” Sarah says as you close the door behind you.
“Patience sweetheart” you answer as you lead her over to the staggered seating at the far side and offer her a seat next to you.
“James, tell me what’s going on” Sarah asks again, looking into your brown eyes as she holds your hand. You look back into her baby blue eyes and take a deep breath.
“Last night I had this crazy dream” you start, moving to the edge of the seat, “And now…” you pause for a moment.
“And now?” Sarah encourages looking at you with concern. You back at her give a reassuring smile.
“And now, I have all these cool powers” you say waiting for a response from Sarah, unsurprisingly she seems skeptical but remains silent, “Anything I think or say I can make true” you confirm, Sarah just looks at you confused again, she opens her mouth to say something a couple of times but doesn’t say anything, “Sarah please” you say softly giving her hand a reassuring squeeze, “Say something”, Sarah looks back into your eyes.
