You spin around to see Sarah's amused face. A rush of blood has your face turning a deep crimson quickly as Sarah laughs softly at your discomfort. “Just be careful with Andi...we wouldn't want anything to happen to her.” With that, she gives you a stern, playful look and walks away.
With Sarah's veiled warning and your kiss with Andi still fresh in your mind, you go to your room to peel off your wet clothes and take a shower. A bit of insanely warm water and intense scrubbing has your muscles relaxed and the mud and dirt washed from your body. However, the scent of Andi still lingers in your nose, the warmth of her body held in your chest. You find yourself feeling a bit embarrassed that she has come to your room before but you never made the effort to go see her.
Whispering a prayer to whomever would listen that you won't be disturbing her, and another that you won't make a fool of yourself, you carefully brush your teeth and hair before pulling on clean boxers, a pair of baggy blue sweatpants, and a matching T-shirt. Feeling a bit self-conscious, you open your door slowly to make sure the hallway is clear before walking over to Andi's door. You rap lightly but there is no answer. The faint sound of music and singing can be heard on the other side, however. So you knock again, just a bit louder, and call out, “Andi? It's . Can I come in?”
Your question is greeted with only the music from the other side of the door. Hoping you're not making a huge mistake, you try the door handle to find it's unlocked. You push the door open slightly...
to find Andi, wearing a grey tanktop and matching cotton panties, dancing and singing along to Melissa Etheridge's “I Wanna Be In Love” while she dries her hair. Her back is turned to you, as she has obviously not heard your entrance.
