FellFallow Downe was the youngest entrant into the soldiering society of the ninth wall. A few days ago he was rendered an orphan by the letter and the law of Thickerwood Town. Before that he lived under his fathers name with his stately, shapely mother and his energetic sister in a large house.
FellFallow couldn’t be bothered to care too much when his father suddenly landed face first in his soup dead as a calf. However when he found himself in an orphanage the next morning with the understanding that his mother and sister would be sold as slaves at the next auction he concluded that his families enemies were on the move. Zarduk the Money Changer had always made it widely known that he coveted all the Downe family assets, all of them.
With this in mind he set about gathering all relevant scraps of information about the letter and the law. First he had to make himself a legal adult so he could inherit his fathers estate. Then he had to find a way to buy his sister and mother from the slaver before the auction.
