*Flashback*
"Naruto!*, the Hokage roared as she had summoned the blonde-haired ninja in front of her.
"Yes? What is it now, granny Tsunade?", Naruto asked. Of course, that nickname still didn't sit too well with Tsunade, and he was promptly smacked across the head for it.
"Naruto! You better listen carefully now, this is important!", she announced, and Naruto, who had been rubbing his head in pain instantly stood upright.
Seeing as she now got his undivided attention, Tsunade started to explain. "Naruto... as you might know, you're the son of the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato. And you also are the container of the Kyuubi.", Tsunade said, and Naruto nodded. He knew all that. He had been told about that a few years ago.
"Seeing as you are a prime example for a strong ninja, it is imperative for me to ensure that the Leaf Village will need your skills for as long as you are capable.", Tsunade started with a matter-of-factly-tone.
"However! Even you will eventually not be able to fight anymore. Therefore, the council, and myself, have come to the conclusion that you need to start a clan of yours.", she told him.
"Eh? A clan? Like the Uchihas?", Naruto asked.
"Yes. Your clan can benefit from the latent powers of the Kyuubi inside you.", Tsunade said, and seeing as Naruto was still standing there, mouth agape, she continued.
"But there is a problem. You are alone. Even if you produce many offsprings with a girl you like, in due time, the Kyuubis strength will have watered, and it will become insignificant."
Naruto blushed. He hadn't even thought of getting together with a girl, aside from Sakura-chan of course, and even then, his fantasies hadn't gone beyond making out. But even he had to admit that she had a point.
"Therefore, I give a special order: Find and assemble a number of girls that you want to be your wives. If they are alright with it, good. If they don't accept your offer, it is the order of the Hokage. They will submit to the will of Konoha.", Tsunade explained.
"Now, Naruto, I want you to find as many females as you'd like as your wives. Eventually, I hope you will impregnate them. This is your order from the Hokage.", Tsunade finished. She was a little flustered by this order, but it really was the best for Konoha. And knowing Naruto, the girls wouldn't be off too bad with him as their husband...
Naruto, even though dumbfounded beyond imagination, bowed and left the office.
*End Flashback*
Finally, Naruto had come to terms with his new task. And he had even somewhat found a reason to look forward to it, too. After all, even Sakura-chan wouldn't be able to go against the Hokage. But the real question now was: Who should he ask first to become his wife? He couldn't ask just any girl in the village, even he had his limits... |
