Nympho Fever | braedan51 | 6

When Neil’s body went limp Dr. Thompson and Mueller realized the gravity of their situation. The closed the blinds and tried to get back to the business at hand.

“This isn’t the joking matter you may have thought it was Lisa. Neil is dead, it may not have been intentional, but he’s dead none the less.”

“How are we going to get out of here Mark, Cassandra can only survive in the open air for a few minutes, but all these infected people…We’ll never get past them all, they’ll tear our clothes off before we make it 20 feet down the hall.”

“Yea, and as soon as you get so much as a pinhole tear in your bio-suit you’ll be infected.” Mark noted. “Was there ever any antidote or inoculation developed for Cassandra?”

Lisa scoffed, “You know the military, they’ll fund a weapon for years and spend billions on it, but as soon as you start talking about vaccines and inoculations funding dries up. Besides, what good is a bio-weapon if you can buy a vaccine off the black market? No Mark, there is no vaccine.”

Mark scanned the notes he’d compiled over the last several months in regards to the possible mutations of Cassandra. Experimentation had shown that the toxin attacks the X chromosome, but some as yet unknown gene in the Y chromosome neutralizes its effects. It had been theorized that gene therapy could reduce or eliminate the effects of Cassandra, but a practical application was years away.

Mark rested his head on his hands; “I don’t see how we can make it out of here on our own. I think our best bet, at least for now is to conserve the supplies we have here and wait for rescue.”

Lisa pulled a box the size of a small suitcase out of a cabinet. It contained 12 MRE pouches, a first aid kit, flashlight and several bottles of water.

Examining the supplies, “Well, it’s not a vacation in Venice, but we’ll survive…”
