Adam tried to get a look at who it was but the door was blocking his view. So instead he listened. He knew that Amy’s nudity would almost certainly cause some type of loud reaction.
“Oh hello Katie! How are you?” He hears Amy say cheerfully.
“Ummm I can come back later if this is a bad time...” Comes the response. The voice sounds young and nervous.
“Ohh nonsense dear. After you and your mother were so nice about helping me bring boxes earlier I can certainly spare a moment or two. Now what can I do for you?”
“Well...ummmm....you know your naked right?” Katie asks unable to ignore the obvious nudity in front of her.
“Well of course I do sweetie. Does that bother you?” Amy says tenderly.
“Well I’m not sure. I mean I know it should but....” Katie says sounding even more unnerved than before.
“But what sweetie?” Amy says curiously.
“Well to be honest you are very pretty....” Katie’s words tumble out as though she were afraid that if she didn’t say them quickly they would never escape at all.
“Why thank you Katie now how about you tell me what brought you over here to begin with...”
“Well my mother went to the store and forgot to leave the door unlocked for me so I was hoping to hang out here till she gets back...I’d be glad to help you unpack too.....if that’s ok....”
“Sure come on in but, you have to follow the rules of my home ok?”
“What rules?” Kati asks sounding very worried and slightly curious.
“Come on in and I’ll explain.” Amy replies reassuringly.
