Piper rolled backwards over the bed landing on her feet on the other side. Kael crossed his arms in annoyance as she raced off into the mist. Piper raced blindly through the whiteness as fast as she could, her hands feeling in front of her. Finally she emerged into a clearing and saw... the same room she had left. At least it looked like the same room, where was Kael? Piper panted for breath as she looked around.
Suddenly Piper whirled again to the sound of footsteps right behind her. Kael stood before her advancing out of the fog. Piper backpedaled hastily, once again falling backwards onto the bed. Kael crossed his arms and sighed, an annoyed expression on his face.
"This is not just some room, you little fool," Kael said "This is a pocket dimension, a dimension that I created especially for this purpose. Run off in any direction into the mist at the edge of the carpet and you will always arrive right back here, because this is the only thing that exists in this dimension. This is now your world little one. Get used to it."
He was silent for a moment allowing Piper to absorb all that he had told her. Could there truly be someone so powerful that they could create entire dimensions at will? She had seen powerful beings before, but none of them were anything like this. Kael advanced on her as she thought once more opening his robe.
"Now get on your knees." He repeated. |
