You and Laura travel for two days before arriving in the port city of Brennen. You had had made your sister decide on a pseudonym; she would be Elizabeth Miller and you, Sean Miller, a brother and sister pair of traders heading out to the East for prospecting new trade-goods. This would get the two of you through most cities with a few questions as possible at least for now. Laura liked the idea of a new identity; she even want to stop being brother and sister, but you pointed out how this would cause trouble in some inn who would not let them share a room if they were unmarried and not family. She consented.
You are surprised at how big the city was, while not as tall and fortified as your castle it was sprawling across the sea shore and was far larger in square footage. You decided to search the local pubs and inns for a captain willing to take you across to the continent for a fair price. You come across an inn called ‘The Good Wind.’ Something told you could find a fair deal here, but Laura doubted it and insisted on looking somewhere else. Though you did not want to split up with your sister you agreed to when neither of you would surrender. So it was that she and you agreed to meet here that night at 8pm incase either of you found passage. You go your separate ways.
You enter the establishment. It has an odor, something strange, like salt, bread, and ash. The room is filled with many powerful men. These men are workers, you may have been trained to fight but they would not be fighting; if you caused trouble here, it would mean a brawl, pure bedlam; you were very aware of this fact as you made your way to a table and began to eye each man looking for some one to stand out as a captain, or at least a first mate, someone of authority.
