A Day in the Life of a Schoolgirl | Renada | 5

Spotting those approaching vines, you begin flail your freed right arm in an attempt to warn your classmate. "I know! Calm down! I'm trying to get them off... but they have such a tight grip!" she responds, seeming to think you're just starting to panic rather than warn her of something. Your eyes widen as those vines behind Ayame grow ever closer, and your freed hand quickly jerks at the tendril encircled around your mouth.

With a few yanks, you finally jerk the tendril off your face long enough to shout; "Ayame! Behind you!!" but it's too late, just as she starts to turn around, the tendrils quickly wrap around her legs and yank her swiftly up into the air, upside-down. You gasp, and the tendril in your hand quickly tightens around your mouth once more.

A whole new set of vines emerge quickly, coming from behind you to subdue it's bonus prize in a rapid fashion. Two of the vines encircle Ayame's arms and quickly force them behind her back, binding them together with one of the two tentacles. "They're too strong! I-I can't break fre--mmmphh!" Ayame starts, only to be muffled by another vine wrapping around her lips in a similar fashion to the one on you. That's when you remember that you're still stuck in the same situation.

You look around frantically as the tendrils start to lift you up off the ground and pull you backwards, while the others pull the upside-down Ayame in the same direction, deeper into the woods.

Then you realize that your right arm is still free. Maybe you can still try to break free... or maybe you should use it to pull the vine away from your face to make one last attempt at calling for more help. Maybe there's an early morning hunter out in the woods, or someone else that can hear the call and save you. (last chance)

What should you do with your free arm?

          Try to break free again.
