I awoke later, riding in the back of a large limosine. As I woke, I noticed a beautiful blonde woman sitting next to me.....a woman I recognized to be my mother-in-law.
"Oh. I'm sorry, Ma'am. I must have passed out," I said.
She smiled at me. "Its ok, dear. It happens to girls in your condition," she said, placing a comforting hand upon my stomach. "And call me Min."
I smiled in thanks to her, and became aware of another presence to my opposite side. I turned and smiled as I recognized my new husband.
He smiled hesitantly as he spoke. "Hello.....dear."
I leaned over and laid my head on his shoulder. "Hello, my love"
Emboldened by my actions, Elmer placed his arm around my shoulders. "I must be the luckiest man in the world today". I smiled, totally in agreement.
Just as I got comfortable in his arms, the limosine pulled to stop. Elmer and Min helped me awkwardly slide out of the back seat. I stood up and stared at the largest house I had ever seen. Elmer took my hand and squeezed it, whispering in my ear "Welcome Home." With that, he escorted me inside to begin my new life.
True to Mr Hess' command, I spent the rest of my life as Elmer's devoted wife. Within a month's time, I delivered a beautiful baby girl. Elmer proved an attentive husband, and soon, two more boys followed her. There were times when I felt that there should have been more to my life than as a baby factory for my husband.....but they were few and far between. I enjoyed my life with him, and raising our children.
Until the day when they, too, would attend the School of Magic.
