You continue to stare at the rustling bush, ready and waiting for whatever would come out of it. Finally, the rustling stops, and you spot a squirrel crawl out of the shrub. It looks up at you for a moment, and as you sigh a breath of relief you watch as the squirrel scampers up a nearby tree, which actually happens to be the source of the 'vine' you tripped over. It turns out that it was really a root from the tree itself, on closer inspection.
You shake your head, and start to rise up again. "Girl, you're losing it." you say to yourself, while holding your sprained ankle. "Ow, ow, ow.." you mutter as you hobble over to collect your schoolbooks a couple yards ahead of you and continue onward.
Eventually, you make it to the school, but you're late, of course. After checking in with attendance, the school bell rings, indicative of the start of the next class period.
You should really probably get to class... but then again, you should probably also go to the clinic to see if Mr. Shin can take a look at your sprained ankle.
You're not so sure about going to Mr. Shin though, because he always gives you and your friends 'creepy' looks when you visit him in the clinic, and as such, none of you ever like to go there alone. |
