Comforting the Roommate | tantrikenetic | 4

You lightly rap on the door to let her know you're outside the room. Her crying immediatly ceases. "?" You ask. "Is everything okay in there?" She is silent for a few moments longer and you almost ask again when she begins to talk again.

"I'm fine, ." She responded shakily.

"You don't sound fine."

"I'm still thinking about Keith." She said, her voice unsteady and unsure. "That's all. I appreciate the concern, but I just need my privacy, okay?"

"Yeah, of course." You respond and begin to walk away from the door when her voice stops you in place.

"Wait." She says through the door. "Would you...no, nevermind."

"What is it, ?" You ask curiously.

"It's nothing. Forget it."

"It is so something." You try to sound as comforting as possible. "C'mon. It's me, . You can talk to me."

She was silent for a few more minutes and apparently those words must have struck a cord with her, because she continued her question next. Her words suddenly make your heart seize up. "Would you...umm...would you be able to come in here for a moment?"

How do you respond?

          "Yeah...I can do that."
