You find Katherine and decide to spill the beans on what you two talked about outside. "Katherine can I talk to you for a moment," you ask her.
"Sure. What's up?" she says giving you her attention.
"Look, I hate to do this but I've been talking to Rebecca outside and I was wondering if doesn't bother you, if I could make her my date for the evening?" you tell her.
Katherine doesn't seem upset at the request and says, "Sure that's no problem what so ever. I think she really wanted to go with you all along. I probably shouldn't have said yes when you asked me. She has a fair thing for you, you know?" Katherine is now smiling. She seems happy knowing the two are together.
"Yeah I kind of feel the same way about her too. If you like I could get one of my friends to be your date for the evening, instead of me, and to give you a lift home afterwards?"
"Sure that would be great."
"No hard feeling?" you ask offering your hand to her.
"None," she takes your hand in hers and shaking it. "Oh, one last thing. The four of us have to have a photo done together and," she motions for you to lean in closer. "Any chance you could get a date for Carla too. She's going to annoy the shit out of me otherwise." You both laugh at this and you end up nodding you head in agreement.
You go to find Rebecca and tell her the good news. She comes back to where Katherine and Carla have been standing while you were gone, arms around each other while Rebecca snuggled up under your shoulder. It takes about half an hour to get the photos of you all taken. You have one with the lot of you, them one of you and Katherine and finally one of just the three girls. You take a few minutes to find your friends Michael and Lyndsay. They readily agree to be Katherine and Carla's dates for the rest of the evening and the six of you all get together for a dance out on the floor. You pull Rebecca close to you as you slow dance. It feels wonderful to have her body pressed tight against yours. You whisper softly into her ear, "did you want to leave now?"
"No," is her reply and with that she kisses you in a long and slow fashion. Your tongues explore each other's and your heart pumps as you have realised on of your dreams. "Now I'm ready to go," she says after breaking the kiss. You catch a glimpse of Katherine watching you. She has a huge smile on her face and beams ever bigger when your eyes meet hers.
You walk arm in arm back to Rebecca's car. Stopping once again to kiss more passionately as you reach in and are alone. You both get into the car and Rebecca begins to drive out of the school grounds. Before leaving it completely she asks you, "Did you still want to go to that blues club? Or shall we go back to my house instead?" |
