Jason's hostility takes you aback. As you search for words, Cindy grabs a hold of his shoulder.
"You are so rude!" she snaps. "How dare you? I'm just trying to meet the new guy at school, and this is the way you react? Gawd, you are SO controlling!" she rolls her eyes and sighs. "Maybe we should break up..."
"Whu... what are you talking about?" he replies weakly, turning red.
"I've had just about enough, Jason," she huffs, putting out her hand between her face and his. They begin to bicker and the other cheerleaders lead you away.
"They'll be at it for awhile," says a sexy asian cheerleader, shaking her head. "Jason can be SUCH a pill." She looks you over and smiles. "I'm Amy Nagama. Welcome to White Hills. You're a great basketball player."
"Thanks," you say. "You're great cheerleaders."
"I'm Shannon McConnell," says a little redhead, looking you over. "Do you have a girlfriend yet?"
"Ah, no," you reply.
Amy swats Shannon. "Shannon!" Turning to you, she says, "Sorry about that. Hey, hope to see more of you. This weekend we're doing a car wash to raise money for the cheerleading squad. Care to come by?"
"Yeah, sounds great!" you say. "Car wash, huh?"
"Bikini car wash!" Shannon clarifies with a knowing grin. "Trust me, my tits look much bigger out of this sweater." She grabs her breasts for emphasis.
Just then Cindy walks up to you, arms open. You accept a tender hug. "I'm sorry about Jason," she whispers. She looks you in the eyes. "Listen, it was really amazing to meet you. I'm hoping we can get to know each other more." Her eyes light up with an idea. "How about an interview?"
"Excuse me?" you ask, wondering if that is some code.
"I intern at Channel 6 with the sports department, and I interview high school and college atheletes. You've got alot of talent and a great story, so I'd love to do you." She blushes and laughs at her slip. "Uh, like, a story on you. What do you say?"
