White Slavery on the Dark Continent | 24ward | 5

"Follow me," Lorna says and turning on her heel, walks down the hallway. The girls exchange a glance and follow after her. Soon they arrive at her office. She has an impressive collection of artefacts and antiquities scattered around.

Lorna invites her visitors to make themselves comfortable and peers out the window. "The crowd is still there, but they will leave soon, now that the excitement is over."

Seanna and Nicole settle into a couple of leather chairs and survey the impressive collection of masks, weapons and other anthropological materials. "Wow, this stuff should be in a museum!" Seanna exclaims.

Lorna turns and fixes the girls with a steely glare. "Well, it's easier said than done. It's illegal to transport or export antiquities or items of cultural significance in Lumumba. But there is no facility that can properly care for these items here," she sighs. "Well, perhaps you two will be able to assist on that score, as well."

Lorna sits on her desk and crosses her legs. "So, you have come to Africa for adventure?" she peers at them inquisitively. "Well, you will find life considerably different than in the feminist utopia of the west. Women are servile in this culture, docile, obedient. Many men are threatened by assertive women, especially foreign women. You would be well advized to remember that. The worst strategy is to turn the community against you. You will disappear into slavery and never be heard from again."

"Slavery?" Seanna snorts. "America doesn't import slaves anymore."

"Slavery continues and is more profitable than ever, here inside Africa," Lorna confides. "Especially for attractive white women. The market pays well for such rareities."

Nicole gulps.

"Now, time to leave. I am need of your services, but first a change of clothes..."

What does Lorna give them to wear? Where are they headed?
