Rachel quickly glanced around, but she didn't see anyone. She heard a man yell again, "Hey, you lookin' for a job?" Rachel looked across the street and saw a group of black men in a car. She wondered if it would be a smart thing to go talk to the men, because she feared for her own safety. However, she and her sister really needed money, so Rachel quickly crossed the road to the car.
"Why, yes, I am. Do you have a job to offer me?" the pretty young girl asked.
"Damn, girl, you're even hotter up close. Yeah, we got some jobs for you to do. If you want, hop in the back seat with Billy there and we can head back to our place and see if we can get you some dough like you want. You game?"
Rachel again thought of her own safety, but the thought of making big money erased that thought from her mind, and she entered into the back seat of the car. There was a large black man sitting next to her. He stared her down and nodded his head approvingly. Rachel was wearing a miniskirt, a small sweater over a tanktop, and high heels. Billy was obviously checking her out, but she tried not to pay too much attention to him as the men drove off down the road.
Eventually, the car stopped at an old run-down apartment building and the men got out. "Follow us inside, babe," Billy said to Rachel. She followed them into the building and up several flights of stairs to their apartment.
The apartment was relatively dirty and run-down looking like the rest of the building. It smelled like smoke and dust, and Rachel coughed a few times. Billy sat down in a recliner, while the other two men sat down on the couch. "Over here, babe...what's your name?" the driver asked, patting his hand next to him on the couch.
"Rachel," she answered, sitting down next to the man.
