When The Cat's Away | Imhotep | 17

“She’s still asleep.” Lei said as she dropped her shiny, black pumps to the floor, and stepped into them.

“Oh! I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.” The surprise was evident in the redhead’s voice. Lei’s eyes devoured her, and Lei wonderer what sort of lingerie the redhead might be wearing, or if she was wearing any underwear at all.

“I’m Colleen Flanagan. I’m a co-worker of Lillian’s.” she said as she tossed her red tresses back over her shoulder, and reached into her purse pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. Lei opened the door, and the redhead stepped inside, stopping in the small entryway. Lei could see in her eyes that Ms. Flanagan had noticed Lei’s wrinkled clothes, and slightly disheveled look. The redhead quickly scratched down a phone number on the paper, and handed it to Lei.

“Please have her call me as soon as its convenient for her. I really need to talk to her.” She turned and pulled the door open, and looked back at Lei.

“Who are you exactly?”

“You may call me, Lei. I’m a friend of Lillian and her brother.” Lei answered, and smiled smugly at the voluptuous redheaded beauty. “And I’ll see that she gets your message.”

“Thank you.” Flanagan replied as she walked past Lei, and out the door.

Lei turned back towards the small flight of stairs, and saw Lillian standing at the top of the stairs dressed in a short, silk bathrobe the color of grape jelly.

"Colleen Flanagan was just here." Lei said.

"I know, I heard you talking with her." Lilian replied.

Lei walked the few steps over to Lil, and handed her the piece of paper with Colleen's phone number. Lillian took it, and slipped it into a pocket on the side of the robe.

“She's still here, should I catch her before she leaves?” Lei asked.

What's Lil's response?

          No.
