Vash looked at the doorway, and found it empty. He examined the wounds, and from them realized the shots had come from the same hole he'd come in through. He painfully turned to find the woman who'd given him the gun standing there with a smoking gun pointing ito the building. She reloaded it with precise movements. She knows what shes doing, Vash thought.
"....don't.....don't kill them, please!...." The woman looked at the bloody man, then sighed and lowered her weapon. At the same moment, the sheriff and five deputies stormed the building. Vash watched the criminals leave in chains, then allowed the darkness that had been on the edge of his vision since he was shot to overtake him. |
