The Lion's Den appeared to be much like any other sports bar, and in fact it was in many ways. There was booze and food, a big-screen TV for sports, some pool tables in the back area and a number of autographed pictures on the walls that showed the owner; Charlie, with famous sports stars.
However, there was a special quality to the bar, it could allow access to potentially unlimited dimensions where one could travel to and partake of whatever they wish, most obviously the women.
The Lion's Den was a womanizing club where one joined by being referred by other members or an invite. The only real rules were to keep your mouth shut and
don't bring any trouble to the Den. Charlie could get quite ruthless with anyone who brought the attention of the law to his business and such troublemakers often ended up being kicked into some bad location like Mordor.
Once you joined, you received a special key that could change any doorway-like opening into a special gate to the Den. Once there, you could enjoy the food and booze and check out the extensive list of dimensions that you could visit. Charlie gave a brief run down on the whole dimension traveling deal. Such as worlds that only existed in fiction could be traveled to. Just how this was possible wasn't explained. "If you have to ask, you aren't cleared to know" Was Charlie's answer to such queries. Safe travel to the dimensions was assured, but once you were there, you were on you own.
And so, The Lion's Den is open for business! |
