She earns the money she needs by offering her services to people who need them. She has taken many different jobs in the past: spying on people, recovering artifacts, stealing documents, killing people, rescuing hostages… She is willing to take any job as long as the payment promised to her is right. And it usually is - the few who have tried to trick her have regretted it…
