You might not get a chance to prowl around when Brian's house was so empty and so with that thought in mind you turn away from the front door and step into the garden.
Ah yes, but of course, you could see if Brian's left his bedroom window open again. If he has you could slip into through it - then you'd be able to surprise Debbie and score brownie points for finding the potentially dangerous unlocked window. Perfect plan.
It's just a short trip around the side of the house, a narrow path winds between the brick wall and the short picket fence. Brian's window is just on the corner. As you sneak closer, determined to surprise Debbie, the sound of running water reaches your ears.
Stealthy still, you reach the window and give it a test tug - success. It seems to be open. It would be easy to sneak into the house from the back. What a hoot! Then again... there is the mystery of the running water. Surely no one would be having a shower at this time?
