Seanna and Nicole make their way through customs and leave the airport. They get a taxi downtown. The two girls had never been to a poor country before and were struck by the stench, grime and pollution as well as the overpopulation.
The girls arrive at a cheap hotel downtown and check into a room. They shower and change clothes, feeling refreshed. By now it's evening and the chaotic noise of yelling, laughter, music and even gunfire rolls into the room from the open window.
Nicole wanders over to the window clad in a towel and looks out at the city. "It's so exciting to be in Africa! We should go out and do something tonight!"
Seanna smiles. Nicole's enthusiasm is infectious. Besides, Seanna thinks, I've never been to Africa either. It would be nice to see some action.
"Alright, let's do it."
The girls get dressed up and head into the tropical night.
