Cheerleading Fun | SebastianJ | 6

Shocked at the sudden turn of events and furious with the deception, you quickly begin picking up pieces of clothing and begin dressing as quickly as you can.

"I'm so sorry!" Angie wails. "Coach said it would be fun for all of us to be together."

You stare angrily at Angie. "And to think I was going to open myself up to you. Is that how everyone is here on this campus? Taking advantage of naive freshmen?"

"Come on now," the cheerleader coach starts, walking into the room. "It really wasn't Angie's fault. I..."

"Then it must be ALL yours, then!" you scream, whirling furiously on the coach. You notice she takes a step back as you continue. "I ought to leave and go straight to the administration building, have you fired, and your picture posted up all over campus!"

"Please, let's not get hasty. I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement on this," she continued, her voice taking on a soothing patronizing leer. "Why don't you calm down, and we can discuss things rationally."

"Because I'm not that kind of girl," you mutter, your eyes drilling holes in her. The steel in your voice causes the cheerleading sponsor to take another hesitant step back, and you storm past her, out of the building and back to your own room.

Half an hour later, your phone rings. Answering it, you hear the sponsor's voice quickly cutting through,", please don't hang up. I... I just wanted to call and apologize directly to you. What I did was inappropriate and wrong. Some of the girls here tend to be a little... how should I put this... friendly, I guess. I'm sorry I assumed things of you I had no business assuming. You struck me at tryouts as a bright, attractive, fun-loving girl. When Angie and I were discussing the new members yesterday, we both agreed that you were, by far, the most engaging member of this new class. And so our minds and mouths got to wandering, and I asked her to help... well, never mind. I'm sorry, and you can rest assured nothing of this sort will happen again. Please, please accept my most sincere apologies for my actions earlier this evening."

You are struck by the sincerity in her voice, but you are still angry about being taken advantage of by someone professing to be your friend. At the same time, you don't really want to get anyone in trouble. What a way to start a new year...

You finally decide to...
