Bored in Suburbia | RobinRestless | 2

Robin was kneeling on the front lawn grass planting impatiens along in one of her flowerbeds. She had been out in the sun planting for almost two hours and she was getting tired. I'll finish this flat, she thought, and then I'll go for a swim. She reached into the flat for another plant when a shadow fell across her.

"Hello, mam,the shadow had a charming Southern accent. My buddy and I noticed you working on your garden. You've done a nice job. Well, we have a yard work business and we were wondering if you had any heavy work that need doing?"

"Well," Robin looked up at the man; she couldn't make out his features because of the sun, but she could see that he was tall and lanky, "we already have a yard service that does the lawns."

"I understand that mam," he was persistent, "but maybe you have some heavy special work you need done?"

Robin thought for a moment. "You wouldn't have a rototiller would you?"

"We sure do - a heavy duty model!"

"Well, then come with me." Robin led the man behind the house to the back edge of their three-acre lot. "I want this section of bush and weeds cleared and tilled so that I can put in a wildflower garden. It's a nice private area and it will be a good spot to just sit."

"This will be no problem, Mam; we can get started right away." Robin agreed upon the price the man, his name was Carl, quoted. Soon Carl and his friend, a stocky, black man named Pete, were hard at work cutting brush, ripping out weeds, and preparing the rototiller. Robin left them to their work. She returned to the house, put on a swimsuit, and swam several laps in her pool.

After her swim, Robin applied some body oil and then lay on a lounge on the deck. She soon drifted off in the warm sun. In the background she could hear the steady mechanical sounds of the tiller ripping up the new flowerbed. She woke with a start when Carl approached and spoke. "We have your bed all tilled and smoothed, Mam. Is there some other job we can do?"

Robin looked up at the two men and gave a little shiver. Both were shirtless. Sweat ran down their hard, muscular chests and arms. Their jeans and work boots were dirty. She realized that the two were looking at her with the same type of hunger.

"Well, no, Carl, I don't." She paused thinking. "Would you boys like a beer or maybe a dip in the pool?"

"We'd love a beer," Pete spoke up for the first time in a thick, husky voice. "That pool looks nice and refreshing, but we don't have swim suits."

Robin smiled, "You could just go in your shorts, that is if you have any on under those jeans. Or," now she was teasing, "you could just go skinny dipping; it's very private back here and no one would see."

The two men looked at Robin and then at each other.

What do they do?
