“How about we go rent a movie and watch it at my place?” Lil answered, clasping Eric’s hand in hers. Everyone agreed to the idea and Gary drove to the local rental store.
“Eric, you and Gary go in and pick out a movie, I need to talk to Lil alone, ok?” Bernie said, giving Eric a smile. Eric looked at Lil, who gave a nod, and walked into the store with Gary.
“Oh my God! He is so nice, Bernie.” Lil said in an excited voice. “How come you never introduced us before?”
“I don’t know, probably because you two were both in relationships already.” Bernie replied.
“He isn’t like the other guys, most of the guys would have been touching me the whole time in the movies, but he just held me the whole time.” Lil added.
“Yeah, he has always been like that. He isn’t a prude by any means. Me and him always joke around, sexually. But he has never tried anything with me. I think he waits for the girl to do something first, so he knows that she is comfortable, you know?” Bernie said.
“Well, maybe I’ll show him something tonight.” Lil replied with a giggle. Meanwhile, in the store, Gary and Eric were looking through the new releases.
“You know my sister likes you?” Gary asked, picking up a movie and reading the back.
“Yeah, she told me in the movies.” Eric replied.
“Do you like her?”
“Yeah, I think I do.”
“Good, because I think you would be good for her, unlike all of her other asshole boyfriends she had.” Gary said. “How about this one?” he asked, holding it up to Eric.
“Sure, I haven’t seen that. I heard it was supposed to be good.” Eric replied.
The two paid for the movie and headed back to the van. Lil welcomed Eric back, giving him a light kiss on the lips. Gary hands the movie over to Bernie and starts driving back to his house. When they get there, the two couples got out of the van and into the living room.
“Gary and I are going to make some popcorn, you two wait here.” Bernie says. Eric and Lil both said OK as Gary and Bernie walked into the kitchen.
