Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. “Get dressed,” Ms. Cook orders you, doing so herself. You both finish, & you ask, “Can’t they come back?”

She says, “Now, you know as Vice-Principal, I must have my door always open for any student who wants to come. How else would you have gotten in?”

You think about all the areas & ways you’ve “gotten in” to Ms. Cook. Just then, the door opens. You see a girl enter who looks about your age, but much better than you ever saw other girls at your real school look. She has blond hair down just past her shoulders. She’s wearing a red-&-white cheerleader’s uniform, ending in a short, red skirt that shows of the majority of her long, slender legs. Naturally a skirt, something inside you says… Anything that hides those legs is committing a crime.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Cook,” the striking student says, “I didn’t know you had company.” Ronnie says, “Oh, it’s OK, Cassandra. We weren’t’ doing anything important.” Nothing is said by anyone, until your fellow student looks at you, & notices something left over from before she got there. “I think I know what you were doing,” she comments.

“Cassandra, you’re wrong. It was nothing like that,” Ms. Cook says, rushing to hide it. “It’s OK, Ms. Cook,” the response comes. “Don’t forget… In addition to being a cheerleader, I’m in charge of Student Spirit.” She looks at you, & says, “Is there any way I could bring yours up?”

What can she do?

She can finish what she interrupted...
