You suddenly get an idea. You wonder if you can change the symbols? You decide to try, with the couple discussing their dinner.
First, you choose symbols that will be immediately obvious. You reach out with your mind in a way similar to the way you read the symbols. You change the man's physical status to make him shorter by about three inches. You watch, as you make the change, and the man becomes shorter! The woman he's talking to doesn't react at all, but you do notice that her interest level drops (she's not as attracted to shorter men?).
You then manipulate the woman's symbols to give her red hair--reddish blonde, really. That works too, and the man doesn't seem to notice.
Thinking about your little experiments, you come up with the idea that if you change the symbols, everyone instantly accepts how then become as if that was the way they had always been.
You quickly change the couple's symbols back to what they were--you think. The symbols are pretty complex, and you try to match them up, but maybe not exactly what they were. Close though.
