It was for acts such as these, and others, that Caligula was to be remembered as the cruelest and most evil emperor of the roman emperor. Even 2000 years hence, to be compared to Caligula was the greatest of insults a person could give to another. It was his greed that led to his fall, and his arrogance that sparked a grudge that would topple his empire.
