Mr Abbas got up and went to his bookshelf and pretended to look for a book. He wanted to keep the white teacher standing there for a moment, emphasizing his authority over her. She would have to wait to be seated.
He choose a book about Jack Johnson, the legendary African American heavyweight boxer who at the start of the twentieth century, in addition to becoming the first black world champion by beating his white opponents, also dismayed white society by openly delighting in seducing white women and marrying three of them, at a time when this was unheard of. In his vanquishing of white men and his dominion of white women, he was an inspiration to Mr Abbas.
He placed the book on the desk so that the white woman could see it, sat down and bid that she do the same.
‘Yes?’ he asked, looking straight at her, ‘you wanted to speak to me or perhaps you would rather spend your spare time in my office rather than the staffroom? You can, if you wish.’
He wondered if he had ever seen such beautiful blue eyes. Her white skin was flawless and her breasts were divine, they were covered by her blouse but the first button was low enough to offer him a sight of cleavage. He wanted to feast upon her and he was determined to enjoy himself at her expense.
The intensity of his scrutiny weakened her resolve and shook her. She wondered how she could ever persuade such a formidable man to do as she wished, particularly as it involved the activities of the black students. She looked at the book in front of her, ‘Unforgivable Blackness’ with the picture of a powerfully built black boxer on the front and wondered if it was placed there for her benefit.
She began, ‘You cannot have failed to notice the proclivity of black male students to seduce, accumulate and in increasing numbers impregnate white girls at this school. Of course teenage pregnancies will occur, but the numbers of girls who appear to be the property of the boys and the fact that every single one is white leads me to request that you use your considerable abilities and resources, not to mention your influence over these black boys to urge and persuade them to desist from using the white girls as simply vessels for their sexual needs.’
Mr Abbas smiled. It was time he acquired a white female as a vessel for his sexual needs.
Miss Davies, hesitated, unnerved, but continued. ‘Unquestionably you will be aware of the difficulties presented to a young single girl when she has a baby, particularly when that child is of another race? The effect on her life, her education and her family? We must tackle this disturbing trend.’
Mr Abbas recognized that she was nervous and therefore admired her evidently practiced address.
‘Allow me to respond and inform you how I intend to act.’
