"He's our neighbor three houses down." Hayley said. "he recognized me from when we were moving my stuff in yesterday."
"Oh okay." Oliver said. he had never made an effort to get to know any of the neighbors so it wasn't weird that he hadn't recognized the man.
"Yeah, I told him I was looking for a job and he offered me one." Hayley said.
"Oh wow." Oliver was surprised. "Doing what?"
" He needs someone to watch his dogs." She said. "He works from home and he has these two big energetic huskies that won;t let him work in peace. He feels bad about locking them up so he wants me to play with them, walk them feed them, stuff like that."
"That's an interesting job." Oliver remarked.
"Well I love dogs and it pays really well so I start after school today." Hayley said.
The school day went by quickly. When they arrived home Hayley handed Oliver her messenger bag.
'I'm going over to Mr. Johnson's to watch the dogs can you take my stuff inside?" she asked.
"Sure." Oliver said. "what time will you be back?"
"I'm only watching them until five." She said.
Oliver spent the next few hours doing his homework, playing video games and taking quick naps. When he looked at the clock he noticed it was six already and Hayley still wasn't home.
Concerned, Oliver walked down to the neighbor's house. He knocked multiple times but no one answered. The living room lights were off but Oliver could see light coming from the back of the house. so he went around back.
