Sister Moves In | conkers024 | 3

"Yea we have time for a quick coffee." Oliver said.

There was a coffee shop a few blocks from the school. Oliver pulled into the parking lot and Haley hopped out of the car. As she approached the shop however she turned around and scurried back to the car.

"Oh, can I have some money?" Hayley popped her head through the driver's side window.

"How do you not have any money?" Oliver asked. He pulled out his wallet and handed her a five.

"I've only lived here a few hours!" Hayley pointed out. "But hey we'll go job hunting at the mall after school." Hayley skipped back to the coffee shop.

Oliver watched as Hayley turned about a half dozen heads on her way to the counter. Every amateur novelist and blogger in the shop detached their eyes from their laptops to look at her. She was slightly bent over the counter placing her order, her skirt rose up slightly allowing everyone to see the tips of her stockings which Oliver imagined sent many of the patron's imaginations wild.

To Oliver's surprise one of the older patrons, a man in his late forty's maybe early fifties approached Hayley. He watched them briefly chat. The man must have said something funny because Hayley was giggling and playing with her hair.

'Wait is she flirting with that old guy?' Oliver thought to himself.

A moment later Hayley hopped back into the car with two cups in her hand.

"Here I got you a Macchiato." Hayley handed her brother his cup. 'Oh and here's your five bucks, this nice guy paid for my order."

"Thanks." Oliver said. "Hey who were you talking to?"

Who was she talking to?

          Neighbor.
