"Sure" you answer her question.
"I have a place I want to show you."
Jennifer takes your hand and leads you out to the huge backyard. People are partying out here too, you see some people smoking, but most are just having a good time. You expect her to let go of your hand but she continues to drag you with her.
There's a paved pathway leading through the huge backyard into a backyard forest and Jennifer is taking you down that path. It's quite dark making it hard to see the pathway, there are lights next to it but they are not on.
"Are you sure about this way?" You show your hesitation to follow down the path.
"Oh Lancelot, are you afraid of the dark?" Jennifer says in a mocking fashion turning to face you.
The way the moonlight hits her face and blonde hair, makes her look almost supernatural. She's absolutely breathtaking.
"Don't worry I'll protect you" she says and starts leading you down the pathway.
"What are you supposed to show me?" you ask,
"Soon we're almost there," she answers. You are curious to where she will take you and you're still pretty close to the party, so if needed it will be easy to get back.
You reach a clearing and can see how the pathway leads up to a small cabin.
"Wow, it seems that they have managed to hide a house in the backyard," you say, finding the situation a bit funny. You knew that the backyard was large, but you didn't expect to find a hidden house in it.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Jennifer is looking pleased by your reaction.
"Come on let’s see if it's open," Jennifer says. You don't expect it to be open, but it doesn't hurt to check it out. You see how Jennifer starts to run getting a few steps ahead of you before she shouts,
"Race you to the door."
You're way to competitive to let her win so you start darting after her. You realize that it's going to be close as it's not to far to the cabin and she got a healthy head start. Just as you think that you won't catch up she manages to fall on the stairs and you dart pass her to claim the victory.
She got a scraped knee, but she seems to be otherwise okay. She's probably more upset about the loss than the injury. You check the door and much to your surprise it's open. The cabin isn't large, it's just a small bathroom and a bigger room with a bed, a table and some chairs and a place to cook place. It's really cozy. You take a look back and Jennifer and are surprised that she hasn't got up yet, it didn't look serious at all.
"Are you okay?" you say as you're starting to feel a bit concerned for her.
"My knee hurts a bit, can't you carry me to bed" she says.
You think that she's milking the injury a bit, but you decide to pick her up anyway, after all you did promise to be her knight in shining armor.
"Oh Lancelot" she says as you lift her up.
She puts her around your neck. It almost feels like you're carrying your bride over the threshold as you enter the cabin. You gently put her down on the bed and notice that there's a closet in the cabin too.
"How bad is it?" you ask.
"I will be fine; I just need some time to rest"
"Good, should we call Chris?" you ask, wondering how long she need to rest.
"No, I'll be ready to go in fifteen minutes or so. Why don't you entertain me while we wait?" she asks.
"How?"
"Let's play truth or dare unless you have a better idea?" Jennifer says.
The way she looks at you make you believe she would be open to any idea you could think of. She's leading you down a dangerous path. |
