"Emily?" James asked quizzically to the girl standing before him.
The girl smiled. "Yep," she responded simply.
James smiled back and immediately pulled his niece into a hug.
"It's been such a long time. You've grown so much!"
Emily laughed. "Obviously, the last time you saw me I was just ten years old."
James smiled sadly, "I'm sorry about that. I really should have tried harder to visit"
"Don't worry about it," Emily said sweetly. "We all know you would have if you could have."
Sighing, James nodded. "Alright then, how about we go grab your luggage and then get something good to eat." |
