It had been a long time since James had seen his niece, not for lack of trying though; it was hard to get away from his job for an extended period of time and something was always coming up with his sister and her family. Last summer it had been another child, and the year before that they had moved for a job opportunity.

Eight years had passed before he was able to see his family and now he was standing nervously at the airport waiting for his niece's flight to come in.

Though it seemed like yesterday his sister had called him and explained the situation. His niece had been accepted into college near where he lived, and instead of paying for a dorm James had immediately agreed to letting his niece move in with him, something he was now regretting.

It wasn't that he didn't love his family, he did, but suddenly he was going to be responsible for an 18 year old girl with no real parenting experience.

James started pacing, trying to quell his nervousness, and soon he got so caught up in his thoughts he began to lose track of time.

It wasn't until he ran into somebody that his head snapped back to earth.

"Sorry," James muttered, looking up, "I wasn't look-"

Standing in front of him was his niece, Emily, a petite redhead, dressed in just a sleeveless summery dress that went down to her knees her straight red hair put up into a bun, with bright green eyes and a healthy spattering of freckles.

"Hello Uncle James," she smiled.

What is James's Reaction?

          "Wow-"

          "Emily?"
