Despite the rather poor attitude on her part, the officer still needed help. You only hope that you can reach her in time.
You do the best you can to make it to her, but considering your hands are cuffed behind you, and you don’t know which way she went, you had to slow the pace down a little. Hopefully those few extra seconds didn’t cost the officer her life.
It doesn’t take long to hear another scream from her, and you have a much better idea of where she is, which unfortunately lies at the dead end with 2 more of those THINGS coming in close to the officer, whose gun is several feet behind the dead guys slowly shuffling their way towards her.
One of them looked like another officer, although he had a sizable bite missing from the neck/shoulder/collarbone area. The other one was some kind of gang punk whose arms were cuffed beyond him, just like you.
Unfortunately, your options were pretty limited because of the cuffs behind you.
While the officers gun was close enough for you to get to, you couldn’t exactly use it, at least not with a great deal of accuracy.
You quickly notice the infected officer still has his gun holstered, but again, having your hands cuffed behind you didn’t make that a particularly good option, especially if you had to wrestle it from the creature.
The one still handcuffed was a little less dangerous, so you might be able to take it out easier, but unless you or the lady officer acted quick, the one with his hands free would quickly turn you into one bloody mess.
Then again, with the element of surprise, you might be able to kill or at least slow down the uncuffed one and be able to distract the other one long enough for the officer to get her gun back, if she caught onto the plan.
Or, there’s definitely the possibility of kicking the gun over to her and let her deal with them, if she even notices you behind the undead moving closer to her.
There’s only seconds to make a decision before they’re close enough to start ripping her apart. |
