Breaking The Paladin | 2p1k3 | 17

Sun Goddess A’hiriya renown throughout the realms; For her penchant of roaming around the wastelands that her enemies owned. When Marus was young his master had captured her for a time and had her chained in his dungeons. She was a pawn then but Metradon was a dangerous place to wander. More than a few of Marus’s dark fantasies involved this woman.

Ever mercurial, Marus cocks his head at A’hiriya with an amused smirk, “And why would the Sun Goddess care what a Dark Lord loves?”

Sexual fantasies may be what initially attracted Marus to Mira. The woman was more than just a Paladin but practically the Sun Goddess’s avatar. Of course, Mira has her sins just like everyone else but it was her penchant for raising above them that drew his interest.

An amused giggle escapes A’hiriya’s throat, “That is something your side often gets wrong. Everything the Goddess created can be redeemed or fall from grace. That includes the gods, Devils, Angels, and Archdemons.”

The mention of a supreme being even to the gods catches Marus’s attention, “So even you answer to someone? Interesting.”

A’hiriya’s warm smile for Marus persists, “Yes and no. Everyone answers to Her even you. She is both evil, good, and neither at the same time… I am also aware of your fantasies about me.” She actually blushes a bit at the attention she gets from Marus. “I never thought our time together in Metradon would have amounted to much beyond my escape.”

In a past life, Marus was a man who a woman in Mira’s position would very much fancy and vice versa. Maybe that is where all this started, some shiv of his persona wanting the life he once had. However, Marus was an Incubus and Dark Lord of considerable renown. Therefore, an entity fails to get that way without enjoying what they do.

How does Marus respond to A’hiriya?
