In front of you is a teenage girl you don't remember seeing before. You would remember if you had seen her dressed like this. She is in a long coat, which she has opened in front, revealing an outfit that would be appropriate if she were working in a brothel.
"Is Aron home?" she asks.
You turn to Aron, questioningly. He slaps his forehead. "Oh shit! Kelli, I totally forgot!"
He explains to you that Kelli invited him to a costume party for tonight, and he forgot to call and cancel with her. You are about to send her quickly on her way, when Bryan calls out from the living room window, "Looks like they're pulling in right now, Mom."
You can't run the risk of Carol seeing Kelli leave your house dressed like this, so you quickly pull her into the house and tell Aron to hide her until she can slip out, unobserved. He returns from taking her to his room just as Carol and Ronnie come to the front door. |
