We shoot through town and onto the highway, finally pulling off on the Ridgeway. I said nothing and just watched as Wendy gazed at the car and obvious money. My flat is in a luxury block overlooking the valley. Wendy just gaped as we pulled in front of the entrance and Johnny, the porter opened the door for us.
"Evening sir"
"Evening Johnny"
As we stood waiting for the lift I said "It's obvious you need cash, and by then end of this lift journey we'll know if you're gonna get any. Understand?" The door pinged open before she could reply and I stepped in, staring back at her as my hand moved to the buttons.
