"Okay Lara," Theodor began, "Let me first say, this will not be a cheap deal!"
"No problem, I am willing to pay you anything... for a trace of this artifact, that is!" Lara tried to hide the desperation in her voice.
Theodor raised one eyebrow and continued
"You will have to infiltrate a certain club," he said. Lara's eyes grew wide with expectation. She nodded affirmatively, trying to conceal how excited she was.
"You will see some stuff there that you may find disturbing".
"Please," Lara said mockingly, "I have seen a lot of weird stuff before!"
"Okay then," Theodor said. "You have to meet me this tuesday, I'll call you to tell you when and where, and I'll help you. I will get you into the club, but from there you are on your own."
"And what's in it for you?" Despite her anxious excitement, Lara had the presence of mind to ask.
"You'll owe me a favour," Theodor smiled "nothing to big, and 30 000 pounds plus 20 000 more for my discretion."
"We have a deal," Lara said. Her heart was racing, she felt like she was about to embark on her most exciting adventure yet,
"Make sure you wear something appropriate though! Revealing and sexy, but definately not too slutty. Or they will think you're just a common whore."
Lara felt a surge in her stomach from being called a whore. But nodded and got up. As she was about leave, Theodor asked her
"By the way, Lara, how did that expedition in East-Africa go?"
"Wild goose chase," Lara left him before he could ask anymore questions.
Theodor sat back and stroked his chin. He watched the wet spot on the pillow where the beautiful archeologist just had been sitting.
