Officer Mendoza led her past a long coridor of cells. Women of all sorts made lewd and derading noises, catcalls and sexual suggestions and offers. She paid no attention, and looked straight ahead pretending not to hear. "Here you go Ryder. Your home for the next 90 days. Enjoy!" the latino guard said with a smile, as the door to the cell was opened. Winona stepped in, and surveyed her "home".
It was about 20 feet long and 10 deep. The walls had long ago been painted a sickly off green, and had long since been covered in graffitti. There was two bunk beds, and toilet, and a sink. "Hey homegirl, what you in for?" said a light skinned black girl with her hair done in cornrows that fell to her shoulders. Her face was long, and angular, with high sharp cheek bones, and deep browns eyes. She was of medium build, with large breasts that were hard to miss even in a prison jump suit. "I'm Latisha, and that there is Mai" she pointed to the lower bunk against the wall. A petite asian girl rolled over, lifted her head off the pillow and scanned Winona with her eyes.
