Give Love a Chance | Wolk | 2

"Hello." 's cheerful voice made my heart jump. Putting all my willpower into keeping my voice sounding normal, or at least not overly anxious and excited I said:
"Hi, , it's . How's it going?"

"It's all good," she answered. "I got a week off work, so I'm enjoying myself here with Blake." My heart sank and I almost dropped the phone right there. How I managed to hear her next phrase is still a mystery. I guess you hear good news better. "I just love the furry bandit," she finished.

I sighed in relief and fell onto the couch. "Blake is your cat?"

"Yes," she chuckled. "What did you think?"

"Great!" I exclaimed. "You're a sweetheart, !"

"Don't be late."

"I wouldn't! Bye-bye."

"Bye-bye."

Carrying a dozen fresh roses, I arrived to the Café at 6 and waited.
