Sheila passed out in Yolanda's bed just long enough for her body to burn off some of the tequila. She woke up with a bad taste in her mouth and a craving for a glass of water. Yet she didn't seem to have the headache that always accompanied a hangover.
"Probably because I'm still drunk," She thought to herself as she hopped out of bed and stumbled around the room searching for her shoes.

From the sounds of music and talking the party was still going. Sheila must have just slept for an hour or so. Usually when she drank she had a hard time sleeping anyway. So she wasn't too surprised to be awake.

After rounding up her shoes she made her way out into the living room.
Javier was sitting on the couch with Eve curled up against him. Jose seemed to be passed out on the other end of the couch. One couple she didn't know were still drinking and dancing to the music and she thought she heard someone talking in the kitchen. She glanced at the clock on the wall and saw it was just after 2:30 in the morning. Seemed like the party was all but over except for the few stragglers.

"Holy shit, looks who back from the dead!" Eve gleefully chirped and ran over to her smashing her in a big hug.

"Just needed a cat nap, I think. How long was I out anyway?" Sheila asked, still caught in the hug by Eve.

"Maybe two hours, not longer then that," Eve gave her a small peck on the cheek and broke off the hug. "I was the only cool girl left so I'm glad you're back up. Plus I was having fun with you then you passed out on me."

"That last shot hit me the wrong way, sorry. I blame Javier," Sheila shot Javier a small smile so he knew she was only joking.

Javier smiled back from the couch, "There's plenty left if you'd like to try again chica."

"No. God no. I think I'm still drunk. Maybe some water." Sheila looked helplessly towards the kitchen.

"On it," Eve bounced off to the kitchen to get her some.

Sheila took the empty seat next to Javier on the couch. She looked at Jose, gave him a small push, and when he didn't respond she turned to Javier.
"Good to see I'm not the only lightweight."

"Ha, you kept up good girl. You were keeping up all night. Don't feel bad." Javier laughed.

Eve returned and handed a glass of water to Sheila. Sheila drank it down in a few small gulps then handed the glass back to Eve. Eve bounced off to the kitchen again. Sheila couldn't help but think that Eve was awfully cheery for a borderline goth girl. Eve was only a few years younger than Sheila, but she still had the energy and bounciness of a high school girl.

Eve came back and turned down the music on the stereo "Sorry, you must have a headache, you poor thing."

Sheila frowned at her and gave a little laugh "I was just thinking how young you seemed and then you come in here all motherly and talking like a little old lady." Sheila started giggling and couldn't stop.

"I'm only a few years younger than you, we actually went to high school together. I was a freshman when you were a senior. And I was only looking out for you, brat!" Eve put her hands on her hips and gave a small frown.

"I know I know. Don't look at me like that. I'm actually good now that I had some water, and didn't have a headache yet. Because I think I'm still drunk. Just kind of tired again." Sheila said.

Javier said "I can take you home if you like."

Eve's frown returned, "Not a good idea, you've had more tequila than she did. I can drive you home if you need a ride. I'm a bit more sober than Javier. Or you can crash in Yolanda's room again 'til morning. I was going to stay here so I don't have to deal with waking my parents up so we'll have to share the bed, but it's a queen size so there's room enough."
