The Audition | dkburrows | 11

Looking around you see some knowing (and lustful) looks aimed your way, and you feel your cheeks redden. You hadn't realized the show you'd been putting on, but apparently a number of people did.

There was Brad, of course, who was finding it hard to keep moving with the line without plowing into anyone, an old geezer who seemed to be studying your assets, a couple of sniggering young guys fiddling with phones, a woman glaring at you, another younger one who seems interested in what you're showing, and a couple of businessmen at separate tables who keep craning their necks to check you out.

Silently offering up a plea that someone would snatch you from this place you tried to calm down, telling yourself that it wasn't a bad thing, that it was just the sort of thing that the character would do. Except that she'd do it on purpose. And she'd act like it was nothing, or a good show. Wouldn't she?

You're not convinced about that, but it's too late to retrieve that self-satisfied smirk from your lips, or the saucy wink you give to Brad. The real you cringes at his leer, but your 'persona' folds an arm onto the table, ever so casually blocking one nipple from view and hiding the other by pinching it between your fingers.

Brad reaches the front of the line and stays there, clearly reluctant to go to the calling cashier when he has such a spectacular view. To encourage him you tug your blouse over each nipple. It still leaves a huge amount of breast exposed, but it seems to be what he needs to get you your cool beverage.

"So, uh," he starts to say as he returns, but is clearly at a loss. He stares down at your chest while you try to stare innocently up at him. His mouth opens a couple more times before he thumps the iced cappuccino down in front of you and sits in his seat.

One trembling hand reaches for his coffee while you pick up your icy drink.

"So," you begin, deciding to ask him for some office-related information about sexual harassment. Instead you say, "What would happen to someone in your office if they bent a girl over their desk and spanked her?"

Okay, that wasn't what you meant to say. Now what?

          He answers it truthfully
