If you are actually planning on apologizing, it's probably best to do it sooner rather than later, lest your middle sister develop yet another complex. Of course, there would only be one place that Phoebe would be at this time of day, especially if she were a little upset.

So you make your way to what you and some of your other siblings have taken calling the Room of Gloom, which other people might recognize as Phoebe's bedroom. The room was named as such due primarily to the fact that the windows were entirely covered, not letting in a single ray of light. Contributing to the name as well was the dark motif of all the furniture and decorations in the room. The walls had been wallpapered black, and the ceiling painted that same color, by Phoebe herself long ago.

As you approach the room, you hear the music first. If it involved Goth themes in any ways, Phoebe would listen to it. And if she was upset, she would listen to it loudly.

Her door, as usual, was shut, with the ubiquitous "Keep Out" sign nailed to the door featuring prominently on it. The cloying smell of potpourri and incense filled the hallway outside of her room. You've oftened wondered what other substances she might be burning in there, It would explain a lot.

You would have been shocked had her door been open, so it comes as no surprise that is is locked. You knock on the door, but suspect that the music inside is too loud for your sister to hear anything other than the loudest of disruptions.

Lesser men would give up on apologizing to their sisters at this point (and you still might), given that their current attempts had been blocked. You do know, though, that a piece of metal slid into the hole in the middle of the doorknob will pop open the cheap lock. You also know opening the door your sister's room unannounced also won't be likely to win any brownie points with Phoebe.

Or there is still your project to be worked on, as well as your other commitments. It seems you have too many things to try to do, and too little time.

Pop open the lock and go in, or go back to finishing off other things on your to-do list?
