"Sure, why not?" replies , locking his car.
Turning to head into the building, says "you've got to see the room they've given me. It's like a little apartment!"
"Nice," he responds only half-listening, hypnotized by the natural sway of her hips.
She leads him into the hotel and they walk into the elevator as she presses the button for the topmost floor. Neither one says anything, but they each steal glances at the other one the whole way up.
"Isn't this awesome?" she asks as they enter her hotel room.
Looking around and taking the room in, responds "yeah, it's amazing." "But not as amazing as you" he thinks to himself.
The hotel room was definitely better than could have been expected. It had a king sized bed, a view of the entire city through a huge window, and a spa tub. The room had everything you could ask for, and certainly lucked out that her room was upgraded for free.
"So," she says sitting down on the bed and bouncing slightly with the recoil "do we want to go down and drink at the bar or go to a liquor store and hang out up here?"
Plopping down beside her, responds "let's go pick up some stuff and bring it back here. We'll probably save some money that way."
"Probably" she agrees, standing up.
They head back out of her room and into the elevator. pushes the button for the ground floor and moves to the back of the elevator as the doors close. She stands close to and their hands are nearly touching. Instinctively, grabs her hand and intertwines their fingers. He hasn't even really realized what he's done until she gives his hand a gentle squeeze in return. They look into each others eyes and a faint smile plays on 's lips as their heads move closer and closer to each other until their lips meet. They only have time for a quick peck before the elevator dings and the door opens. Hand-in-hand, they head through the lobby and into the parking lot.
"You drive" breaks the silence. "You know where you're going."
simply unlocks his car from the passenger side, opens the door for her, and closes it when she is in. He then climbs into the driver's side, starts the car, and drives off.
"So," speaks again. "If you're going to be drinking, you're not going to be able to drive home."
"Hmmmmm..." exhales. "I hadn't thought about that."
"Do....do you want to stay with me?" she asks, trying to hide her nervousness. Within her mind, she starts worry. She is nervous not only about his response to her proposition, but also because she is a virgin and worried that will scare him off. She realized at dinner that she had never met a man quite like him before, nor had she ever fallen so hard and so fast for someone. She knows she wants him to take her virginity, but she's terrified she'll scare him off.
"Yeah, sure, that should work" he responds, trying to sound calm. Of course, he's got his own worries in his mind. He knows that he has fallen for , but is terrified that his own lack of experience will run her off.
They arrive at the liquor store, and both of them immediately head for the rum. He grabs a bottle of Captain Morgan Tattoo and she grabs a bottle of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum. Ultimately, they settle on getting two fifths of Tattoo to prevent mixing light and dark liquors, especially since she had an orientation in the morning.
They pay for their drinks, and walk hand-in-hand to the nearby grocery store. They grab a 12 pack of Coke for mixing drinks, and then head back to his car to drive to his apartment. |
