6:45 am rolls around and 's alarm begins to go off. She reaches over and pushes buttons on her phone to make it turn off without even really waking up. She then rolls over to face and buries her face in his neck.
Half an hour later, 's alarm goes off. He wonders why is still in bed, although he's quite enjoying her warm body cuddled up against him. He opens his eyes to check the time, assuming it's only 7:00 since he had set two alarms before going to bed. He is alarmed when he sees that it's 15 minutes later, and hastily awakens .
"Hey" he says softly. " you've got to get up. It's 7:15. You overslept."
"What?!" She says alarmed. "I never heard my alarm. Oh shit, I'm going to be late." She jumps out of bed and heads into the bathroom.
rolls over and gets out to bed to investigate his alarm. He looks down and realizes there is a very noticeable tent in his shorts. He thinks about the beautiful girl showering in the room next to him and the tent grows bigger. When he finally looks at the clock, he realizes he forgot to turn on the one he set for 7:00."
goes downstairs to make some breakfast. He begins to cook some bacon and make some toast. Around 7:40 walks into the kitchen wearing her scrubs. can't help but admire her beauty.
"I made breakfast." He says to her childishly.
"Thank you." grabs some bacon and toast and quickly eats it without saying another word.
Around 7:50 she finally breaks the silence. Worriedly, exclaims "Oh crap, I forgot my car has the spare on it. Shit, I'll never make it in time if I have to drive slowly."
Soothingly, responds "my keys are in the small box on top of my chest of drawers. Take my car. If you want, leave your keys and I'll take your car to get your tire fixed."
"This boy is amazing" thinks to herself as she rushes upstairs to grab his car keys. She's running to late to even question him. She grabs her pocket book, and takes her keys. She stops briefly to grab a piece of paper and write down her phone number. She then rushes down the stairs. is waiting for her at the door.
She hands him the keys and piece of paper, saying "here's my number. Call or text me later so I'll have yours." She then gives him a hug. "Thank you for everything" and gives him a kiss on the cheek before running on the door.
waits a few minutes, then sends her a text that says "good luck with your orientation today. I'm sure it will go great. See you tonight."
checks her phone just before running into the hospital. She smiles at the message before tossing her phone into her purse. |
