Coffee sounded really good at that moment. Besides, it would give you a chance to sit and think before you headed off to other things.

It wasn't until you'd ordered that you remembered you'd deliberately left your money at home so you wouldn't spend it like this.

"Oh, uh, I forgot I didn't bring any money with me," you say to the disapproving cashier. You can all but feel the anger from the line you've held up.

"Allow me," a man says, coming up beside you. "I'll take a cappucino please," he adds.

You steal a look, seeing a man in his late thirties, not too hard on the eyes at all and dressed well enough that he probably worked in an office.

"Oh thank you," you gush, widening your eyes. You've always been told you have wonderful eyes.

"Ah but I'm not doing it selflessly. I do have a condition," he says, holding tight to the money as the cashier huffs in impatience.

 

"What condition?" you ask warily.


          "Sit with me," he says
