You follow the claw marks, which lead you away from the school.
Just as you leave, you see several black vans pull up outside the school and people get out, stopping people from entering or leaving the school.
The claw marks go past your home and seem to vanish in a nearby park. Then you realize you're alone, and you just followed something that could leave claw marks in cement. What the hell were you thinking?
You turn around and head back to school. At least back there you are in a crowd, which is more protection. As you start walking you hear a loud thud, as though something heavy just hit the ground. You slowly turn around, and see the creature from your nightmare.
You turn back around, telling yourself not to make any sudden moves. You step forward and the creature lets out a howl. You start running home. You fumble for your keys as you run and drop them. You drop your school bag as well, but keep running.
The creature stops for a moment to tear open your school bag, and begins to eat your lunch.
This has given you a few seconds headstart.
You decide not to go home, since you wouldn't be able to open the door without your keys, and nobody is there to help you. Your only hope is the school, with the police and the people in the black vans. You hear the creature barreling up behind you, and at the last minute you dodge behind a hedge in front of a house.
He may be fast, but he has trouble turning. You stop to breathe for a few seconds before he finds you again and you're forced to run again. |
