A Genie Gift | Meteorbeat | 9

Looking at the smiling face of my parents made me happy that I escaped from that hero act alive, but remembering what Ginny had told me, that without her help I would be dead made me feel happy about the fact I had her at my side now, I don’t want to make them sad, making a mental note I decided to give Ginny a small gift, but I’ll go back to that later on.

Talking briefly with the doctor it was decided that I was well enough to be discharged tonight, much to my pleasure and my parents’ relief, but there was a slight problem; trying to stand up send several needles of pain through my body, it seemed that I was too sore to move yet.

‘Ginny’

‘Yes boss?’

‘Can you do something about it?’

‘Something on your mind?’

‘Just, take away all this soreness, I don’t feel so well’ ‘ping’

‘Done’

Stretching myself almost like a cat I could feel my bones popping up after not being used, I wasn’t that energetic but now I felt like new, no pain no gain they say, well, I got the pain and I gained the best prize in the whole world.

‘Thanks boss’ oh yeah, she can hear me this way too; so, without any more trouble or anyone wondering how a man could be hit full on by a car and receive not even one injury we were all pilling up not five minutes later and driving into the home I was raised.

A detour in the car or directly go home?
