Set in Amazonia | kuellar | 16

Wiping a hand over his forehead, Set hacked down another jungle vine with his machete. "I hate these fucking vines," he muttered.

Ahead of him, Alyxia stepped nimbly over a fallen log, ducking under a low branch with practiced grace. "It's no use chopping them down," she called back. "They grow back again. Just go around them, it's not too hard."

"Lady, Set Bones doesn't beat around the bush! He ploughs straight through the bush. And he's always hard."

Alyxia rolled her eyes, unaware that behind her, Set was rolling his eyes along the luscious curve of her ass. Suddenly she stopped, raising her hand; Set, preoccupied, didn't notice and bumped into her. Immediately his hands came up to slide over her hips and up to her massive chest.

"Mmm, baby, does that get you hot? Is your bush wanting to be ploughed?"

"Quiet!" Alyxia hissed. "There's something up ahead."

Set's hands had reached her huge tits and began squeezing and kneading them through the cloth of her shirt. "Oh, you'll get my head up all right, right up your behind..."

Alyxia tried to ignore him and cocked her head, listening. "It sounds like... water. There's water!" She broke away from his grasp and hurried forward. Grudgingly, Set followed. Fresh water was scarce, and this would be a good chance to restock their supply. Bush-ploughing would have to wait, although hopefully not for too long.

The river was fairly wide, but not very deep. Alyxia quickly set about filling their canteens with the cool, clear water. Set put down his bag and knelt down with a groan. He took off his hat and leaned over, splashing water onto his face, sighing with pleasure at the coolness of the liquid. He sat back on his haunches, reaching for his hat -- it was gone.

"What the..." he looked around wildly. Alyxia was still filling canteens; there was no one else around. He looked up... and there, in a branch of one of the nearby trees, was a monkey. It was holding his hat.

Set scrambled to his feet. "Hey! You there! Yeah you, damned monkey, I'm talking to you! Give me back my hat!"

The monkey chittered, almost, it seemed, in amusement. Then, with a cheeky flourish, it placed the hat atop its head and bounced up and down on the branch. Alyxia, looking over at the commotion, let out a chuckle. "Monkey got your hat, Bones?"

"Shut up!" Looking around, Set picked up a fist-sized rock from the shallow river bed.

Alyxia, seeing his intent, got to her feet quickly. "No, Set, don't --!"

Too late. Set flung the rock at the monkey, missing by about an inch. The rock sailed harmlessly into the trees; the monkey stopped its bouncing and cast a disapproving glare down at Set. Then it, too, disappeared into the trees. Still wearing the hat.

"Fuck!" Set swore.

"You've chased it away! I told you not to throw that rock."

"I'm going after it."

"You can't be serious. You're going to chase a monkey? Through the jungle? Just for a hat?"

"It's my hat!" Set thrust his chest out and placed his hands on his hips, striking a rakish pose. "Set Bones doesn't shy away from danger! And I'll be damned if I let some idiot monkey get away with my hat. Now, are you coming, or not?"

Alyxia chuckled, and shouldered her pack. "With you around, Set, I have a feeling I'll be coming more often than not!"

Do they find the hat? Or do they get... sidetracked?
